The therapist gives out home exercises to aide in your recovery. The exercises should be done on the days that you do not have a physical therapy appointment. These exercises along with the physical therapy sessions are part of the reason for a successful recovery. Home exercise programs are usually continued after your physical therapy sessions end. The exercises will help to keep the same problem from reoccurring. The physical therapist will probably recommend that you continue your home exercises at least 3 days a week after your therapy has ended.
